Open Class Livestock Updates

(Please contact your Superintendent with exhibit-specific questions)

  • livestock check-in and arrival is TUESDAY, AUG. 8th from 9AM - 2 PM at the Open Class Beef/Sheep barn. Check-in is mandatory for ALL livestock, including Younger Youth.
  • Small animals (rabbits & poultry) check-in and arrival is TUESDAY, AUG. 8th from 3PM - 7PM at Grizzly Mountain Pavilion. Check-in is mandatory for ALL small animals, including Younger Youth.
  • Open Class shows are for registered breeds only (you must have the correct papers upon check-in). Exceptions: whether/sire/dam sheep classes.
  • 4-H & FFA may show in the Open Class Goat Obstacle Course and/or Pack Goat. Please fill out an Open Class Entry form to participate in the show(s).

Younger Youth Livestock Show Updates

(Please contact the Superintendent listed in the applicable species/department with exhibit-specific questions)

  • animal check-in and arrival is TUESDAY, AUG. 8th from 9AM-2PM for larger livestock (Open Class Barn) and 3PM-7PM for rabbits/poultry (Grizzly Mountain Pavilion). Check-in is mandatory, even if the animal is not being housed in Open Class.
  • Younger Youth must follow all the Livestock Rules & Regulations listed in the Premium Book.
  • Younger Youth GOATS may be shown in the Goat Obstacle Course or Pack Goat shows in addition to the Younger Youth show. These are the only Open Class shows that Younger Youth may show in.
  • Younger Youth animals may be housed with 4-H or FFA, but the leader of the club must approve. Please list the club and club leader on the YY entry form.
  • For children ages 4-9, participating in Open Class rather than Younger Youth is at the discretion of the Superintendent.

  • Due to space constraints, large exhibits will need to be approved by the applicable Superintendent before exhibit drop-off.
  • Late entries are accepted at the discretion of the applicable Superintendent.
